It seems like we may have seen the last of the summer heat waves with the colder air starting to set in. Over the next few months, the temperatures will start to drop and we will be thinking of ways in which we can keep our homes warmer.
If you have a conservatory you will probably of spend half of the summer trying to keep it cool, but in the winter, they can get unbearably cold and become unusable.
There are a number of ways in which you can keep your conservatory warm. Firstly, try and have at least one radiator installed in there. If you don’t have one then a plug in oil filled radiator can be a great way to take the chill off.
Curtains or blinds will also help t keep the warm in and make the conservatory feel cosy. Ideally you want to have blonds and curtains as the extra layer will help insulate the room. Try and keep any doors closed as much as possible so to keep the heat in once you have started warming it up. You can stop warm air from escaping with the use of draught excluders along the bottom of doors and by ensuring all windows have quality seals in place.
