Stained glass internal doors
If you are lucky enough to live in an older house, whether it be Victorian, Edwardian or a traditional 1930’s style semi, you may wish to consider installing reclaimed internal pine pitch doors or solid pine doors with stained glass panels. There are companies which specialise in either supplying and renovating reclaimed doors or companies which can make bespoke solid pine doors perfect for all requirements.
Beautiful stained glass can look truly spectacular on internal doors and can help to both introduce light into darker rooms and areas of a house or diffuse strong sunlight into a myriad of colours in a room. Companies which make antique pine internal doors often use traditional floated glass with all the flaws, bubbles and irregularities of old glass. Victorian patterns may include swirls, fleur de lys patterns and other floral designs whereas 1930’s doors can take the bolder, more geometric patterns of the Art Deco era or the stylised lilies and roses of Rennie Mackintosh.
